Please read all the information below before your submission

Strands

All submissions should indicate the strands (Education, Second and Foreign Languages, Translation & Interpreting, Culture, Globalisation) up to 3.  The organising committee reserves the right to allocate your paper or abstract to the strand as they see fit.

Topics listed below serve as hints to provide inspiration but not restrictions. Any topic of academic, practical, or vocational interests and within the remit of the conference is welcome.

Panel discussion Proposal:

A panel discussion proposal should have a title and the name of the convenor, a description up to 750 words that gives sufficient information for the organiser to assess appropriateness for the conference and a list of panel members. The length of each panel discussion is 90 minutes.

Workshop Proposal:

A workshop proposal should have a title and the name of the convenor, who acts as the workshop chair and is responsible for organising the papers and their reviews. A minimum of 3 papers are required for each workshop.

Full Paper:

The full paper should be original unpublished work of 1800-2500 words with 200-word abstract and full reference list.

Abstract:

An abstract of minimum 500 words should outline the key contents of the presentation.

Research & Publication Ethics

Authors must obtain the required ethics approval from their affiliated institutions where applicable. Approval to undertake the research must be granted before any work requiring approval begins.

We adhere to the Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are expected to be aware of, and comply with, best practice in publication ethics in relation to guest authorship, dual submission, plagiarism, and competing interests. 

Review criteria & process

Full papers and abstracts will be double blind reviewed by two reviewers. Panel discussion and workshop proposals will be considered and reviewed by the working groups formed by conference committee members. The conference has a zero tolerance policy for plagiarism.

Publishing of Conference Proceedings

The conference proceeding will be published prior to the conference including the panel discussion and workshop proposals, full papers and abstracts. The proceeding will have an ISBN, be allocated a DOI, and be indexed with Google Scholar and Crossref.

Your accepted submissions will only be included in the proceeding if one of the authors registers for the conference before 30 May 2025. Failure to register for the conference will result in the submissions being removed from the programme and proceeding without further notice. If you are unable to attend the conference, please notify the Organising Committee info@glecc2025.com  by 30 May 2025, to withdraw your presentation from the conference programme.
