Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. What is the latest registration date?
For papers to be included in the conference programme and proceedings, registration and payment must be completed on or before 30 June 2026. We encourage presenters to complete the registration/payment as early as possible to help with the scheduling of the programme and other logistics arrangement.
For delegates attending the conference without presenting a paper, registration may be completed at any time prior to the conference. Please note that on-site registration and payment will not be available.
2. Does the conference registration include accommodation?
No. As with most conferences, registration fees do not include accommodation, and attendees are responsible for arranging their own stay.
The conference organiser has negotiated discounted room rates with Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre for conference participants. If you wish to stay at the conference venue hotel, please contact the conference organiser for details of the discounted rates available during the conference period.
3. Are all three days of the conference programmed for presentations?
Yes. Presentations are scheduled across all three days of the conference. To gain the maximum benefit from the programme and attend the full range of presentations, delegates are encouraged to attend for the entire three days.
4. What is the format of the presentations?
All conference presentations will be delivered as oral presentations and each presenter will have 20 minutes for presentation; there will be no poster sessions.
For visual aids, PowerPoint format is preferred and PDFs are also acceptable. Presenters are advised to bring their presentation files on a USB storage device and avoid relying solely on cloud storage in case of any internet connectivity issues.
5. Can I attend the conference virtually?
The conference is designed as an in-person event, and there is no virtual attendance registration option. Attending in person is strongly encouraged to achieve the best conference experience and networking opportunities.
However, the organisers recognise that unforeseen circumstances, such as visa difficulties, travel disruptions, family emergencies, or health issues, may prevent some registered authors from attending in person at the last minute. In such exceptional cases, registered presenters should contact the conference organiser as soon as possible. The organisers will make every effort to arrange an online connection to allow the presentation to be delivered remotely. The presentation will be included in the conference programme and submitted work published in the proceedings.
6. How do I get to the conference venue?
The conference venue, Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre, is located directly opposite Manchester Piccadilly Station, the city’s main railway station, making it easily accessible by train and public transport. It is about 30 minutes from Manchester Airport by taxi.
